The secret to better shaving - a razor sample pack

When I first switched to a safety razor, I thought I’d cracked the code to perfect shaving. The razor itself was beautiful – I’d picked up a nice WEISHI Safety Razor and was ready to experience all the benefits everyone raved about online.

Instead, I spent months dealing with irritation, nicks, and frustration. Sometimes the blade would tug at my hair, other times it felt like I was scraping my face with sandpaper. I tried different shaving creams, different techniques, watched countless YouTube tutorials (although Executive Shaving helped heaps) – but nothing seemed to help.

The Real Problem: Finding the Right Blade

After weeks of research, I finally discovered what experienced wet shavers had been saying all along: the blade makes all the difference. Everyone’s facial hair and skin are different, so the blade that works perfectly for someone else might be completely wrong for you.

Great, I thought. I’ll just try some different blades. That’s when I hit my next roadblock.

The Sample Pack Problem

Living in Australia, my options were limited. I could either:

None of these options made sense. I just wanted to try a variety of quality blades without spending a fortune or waiting forever. Surely other Australians were facing the same problem?

Creating the Solution

That’s why I created Find My Shave. I wanted to build something that would have solved my own problems when starting out:

How to Find Your Perfect Blade

If you’re new to blade sampling, here’s the testing process I recommend (learned through plenty of trial and error):

  1. Start Fresh: Use a new blade type when your face has fully recovered from any previous irritation
  2. Three Shave Minimum: Give each blade at least three shaves before making a judgment. Sometimes the first shave can be misleading
  3. Take Notes: I know it sounds excessive, but trust me – after trying several brands, they all start to blur together. Keep track of:
    • Initial sharpness
    • Comfort during the shave
    • How your face feels hours later
    • How many comfortable shaves you get from each blade
  4. Be Consistent: Try to keep other variables (time of day, shaving cream, technique) the same during testing

What to Look For

Through helping countless customers find their perfect blade, I’ve learned that everyone’s “perfect shave” feels different. Some key things to consider:
